In this edition of The Golden Road, we honor the exceptional sounds of Earl Scruggs, and all those righteous Bluegrass musicians that came before, since and those that will ramble in years to come. Bluegrass, with it's roots in songs that migrated over from Ireland and England a few other points on the compass, has underlined the need for folks to gather, play, sing and dance to celebrate life and a rest from our labors.

This broadcast includes an expansive look at this style of music with early recordings of Bill Monroe & The Bluegrass Boys and takes a good long ride up through subsequent generations of Bluegrass musicians, including Jerry Garcia, David Nelson, Peter Rowan, David Grisman and others who have connections to the Grateful Dead family sound.
