Amazing New Year's Show!
What it treat it was last night to bring in 2010 with a mix of amazing music from three of the most awesome DJs on the planet. Really ... I wish we could capture that mix for future reairs it was the best New Year's Radio show in the nation ... OK the planet!

Gene Parsons on Davisville...Great Radio!
Thanks a bunch for digging the Gene Parsons interview out of the KDRT vault. It was a pleasure to hear again the excellent interview by Bill Buchanan, the classic tales told by Gene and some very nice music from the Golden State!
Hearing more radio such as this on KDRT would be most welcome.

December 2009 has turned into Byrds month on Davisville. The Dec. 21 show is an interview with Roger McGuinn from January 2008, shortly before he played at the Mondavi. The interview originally aired on Live Tracks nearly two years ago, and we adapted it for re-broadcast, adding some songs from the Byrds concert CD he announced on the interview (but which wasn't released until late 2008).
I did all this to create extra time for the year-end Davisville, which airs the last week in December/first week in January -- and among other things, includes a short email update from Gene Parsons.
