Davis\, CA\, February 1\, 2012 – The Davis Live Music Collective is proud to
present one of the nation's most important young songwriters Jolie Holland
along with supporting artist Sea of Bees. This is the music collective’s
inaugural event and will be held at the Odd Fellows Hall in Davis\, Tuesday\,
February 21st.
Jolie Holland is an esteemed Shortlist Prize nominated musician who counts
Tom Waits and ANTI- label mate Sage Francis among her most outspoken fans.
She has shared some of the nation’s biggest stages with artists like The
Jayhawks\, Mavis Staples\, She &\; Him\, Kyp Malone (TV on the Radio)\, David Gray
and Chris Isaak. Holland is a unique and important voice in music who blends
blues\, folk\, gospel\, jazz and seventies-era rock into truly beautiful and
unique songs unmistakably her own.
Recently gaining national praise on NPR’s All Songs Considered as a Top 10
pick\, Sea of Bees has been releasing albums on Davis\, California’s locally
