Award-winning host of “Democracy Now!,” Amy Goodman will visit Davis to discuss her new book, Breaking the Sound Barrier at a benefit for KDRT 95.7 FM & KDVS, 90.3 FM, Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. in Social Sciences 1100 on the UC Davis campus. Denis Moyhihan, of Democracy Now! and editor of the book, will introduce Amy. Brief welcoming comments will be made by Dr. Jesse Drew, Chair of the Program in Technocultural Studies at UC Davis.

A pre-event reception with Amy Goodman and Denis Moynihan, will be held at The International House, 10 College Park in Davis from 6-6:45pm on the same evening. Reception tickets are $100 and include a copy of the book with special signing, wine & fine appetizers from Inspiration Point Catering, and reserved seating at the lecture. The I House is a quick walk to the lecture hall, and a large parking garage is on en route.
